Looking forward to it! I've come to appreciate Fallen Empires more and more as I've continued to work on Magic. The themes of the set are really appealing. Obviously there were problems (rare cards too weak, print run too large, etc.) but the set was going for something really cool.

I used to watch that show every week when I was in college. There was a beheading in every episode, which was very unusual at the time!

* The events are real-world events, like "When was Graxiplon first printed?" not in-world events like "When did Urza set off the Sylex blast?" Gotta give the other players a fair chance! 3/3

I suppose we could write something like “You may have a second commander if it’s Nissa, Worldsoul Speaker.” on a card, but it’s difficult to imagine a product where we would want to do that.

I can’t speak to what happened in other universes, but this card never had partner at any point during the design process in THIS universe! It’s a charming notion though.

It took me and Rachel an embarrassingly long time to break the habit of using our daughter’s old pronouns, and it took her grandparents even longer (so, definitionally “beyond embarrassing,” I guess). They’ll get there eventually!
