That’s how I fell in love with cardboard as a medium. Even use it in some of my engineering prototypes today (though I design it in software and cut with laser). It just brings back the joy of childhood!

She is trying to reuse materials - paper cup from her free sample at Costco, cutouts from tea boxes and other product packaging etc.
Kind of like our childhood when my brother and I did hoard stuff like this to build things because we could never afford a Lego set.

Also it turns out the agar featured on the photo was the most contaminated one 😆 so your intuition was correct!
Second gen are looking good, and I started the LC from that yesterday. Will know if it’s clean in a day or two, so far so good!

So I’ll try to cultivate the shaggy manes. First mycelium agar looks quite clean and robust! 🍄📷🧫
