Love this podcast. Been using it to fill the hole in my rotation, so that if/when Is This Democracy returns, I still have my routine in place.

What's frustrating is that the switch doesn't have a point. There's a style of switching that mimics a zone defense but they're not even doing that, they're just letting offenses dictate possessions, which is what most players in the league are good at doing. The Pelicans are food & everyone knows.

I have multiple examples off the dome of "virtuous journalists" in L&O, but also, most professions in that show outside of the police are not universally venerated (& since 2020, even police critique in L&O is commonplace).

Part of it is Dick Wolf shows are my hyperfixation so I have a stupid amount of information on that show in my head, but I do agree that journalists deserve a better rap in the media. I just think he should've focused on the show he was talking about instead of Law & Order.

I don't want to be pedantic, but two things here.

1. Honorable is an interesting ask bc to me the article was more asking about portraying journalists not as hungry jackals but as truth-tellers.

2. He's just wrong about the Law & Order thing. The other shows he's 1000% right about tho.
