I'm a broken record about the parallel fledgling TV director side of things... It does feel right now like even strong samples, relationships, and perseverance don't register in a hiring pool overflowing with available experienced veterans. It can't help but be brutal on the psyche and self-esteem.

We should be calling out the huge blindspots to international games in English games media, but we should also not ignore the fact that with video games we are already pretty damn global, especially compared to, say, the Oscars.

Three months later, I'm FINALLY at the "Ok maybe this spec doesn't totally suck" stage.
Definitely hit the point of revisions where I yell WHY DID I DO THIS TO MYSELF? WHAT THE HELL IS THIS SCRIPT? WHO IS THIS EVEN FOR BUT ME? aka normal part of my process.

Saw 50+ Rumis, dozens of Zoeys, a smattering of Miras, and whole groups of Saja Boys at my kids’ school’s Halloween parade today. It’s great, and I plan to wield them all as evidence the next time some animation studio opts for yet another reboot instead of an original idea.
