#RankedChoiceVoting would save Chicago millions of 💸 by eliminating the need for runoff elections. The 2023 Mayoral runoff cost ~$20M, and $10s of Ms more in campaign costs. Comment below: What would be a better use of that $$$? 🤔

We are excited to see interest in RCV growing in our state! This follows RCV referenda passing in Skokie, Oak Park, and Peoria in the last year. We will continue to advocate for RCV and provide research and educational support to elected officials that seek to implement it for their communities!

Gov. Edgar was known for his fiscal responsibility and strong leadership through the Great Flood of 1993, as well as for reforms of welfare programs, education, and Illinois’s adoption system. We must never forget to honor the stewards of our past. Rest in Peace, Governor Edgar.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of former Illinois Governor Jim Edgar (g. ’91-’99). Governor Edgar was one of the most respected governors in our history, leaving office with approval ratings >60% and winning reelection by the largest margins in Illinois history.

Ranked choice voting is a simple upgrade to the way we vote that gives voters more choices and more power! By letting voters rank candidates in order of preference, you can vote for who you really want — without fear of "splitting the vote."
