I see a lot of undermining of fellow Leftists organizations (shocking) whoever one gains anything worthwhile. While I can only speak to my local Leftists, performance matters a great deal, and Trans folk have been put in the limelight lately.

A lot of it comes from just how fractionalized the "Left" is. My theory is that conservatives really hate Trans folk, which makes them sacred in a way to the Left. Not enough to coalesce around much like many other possible causes.
