So I'm like, Megs knows his way around mechanics, building bots even rebuilding it to his own liking.

So I like to think Megs tinkers during his spare time during the war. Enhancing weapon systems, or fixing the war ships---OR MAYBE IT CAN TIE BACK TO HIM WANTING TO BE A MEDIC?? Im just thinking-

And he did the very same with Soundwave.
He designed each step SW would get upgraded with the key--labelling and constructing the skeleton? Ig? inner mechanics of SW.

BRO KNOWS HOW TO MAKE HIS OWN ARMY. LITERALLY. THEY MADE SURE TO ESTABLISH THAT IN S1. But as soon as they get self aware-they dip.

So in season 1, we see Megs using his resources to find ways to get back his body by getting the key. He tried the dinobots, using human materials (from Sumdac) and his own cybernetic metal.
Failed.
BUT we see that he has his own specs and advancements HE DESIGNED HIMSELF.

They have high pitch cries--static like sounds. Anywhere near the proximity of a distressed sparkling, can be overwhelming to nearby EMFs

Sparklings also adapt and learn fast. They mimic behaviors and absorb knowledge from their surroundings

Their attachment to their creators are NO JOKE. Being separated from creators for too long, ESPECIALLY the carrier, can stunt growth and cause distress

Tho, they adapt quickly to the fields of their creators, learning and feeding at an accelerated pace.

A sparkling's coding is ofc from their creators, but as a new born, medics can't detect the sparking's origins. The code is scrambled at emergence BUT it will gradually stabilize.
They feel the safest with their creators' fields but can get overstimulated if exposed to too many foreign EMFs

Sparklings respond well to comfort and affection--cuddles with creators brings immediate peace

And yes theyre so used to being in the gestation stasis pod, their frame will curl into a ball reminding them of their OG safe space
