Today marks the start of the "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence," a global call to end violence rooted in gender inequality.

In Canada, a woman or girl is killed every 48 hours. In 2024, 240 women and girls were murdered, a 54 per cent rise over pre-COVID rates.
