It's all of those things and more. But if you can get past the lede, the rest is hilarious.
I think a big part of the problem is that many pecan pie recipes have a big blob of corn syrup instead of sugar.
I think Pecan Pie is one of those things that is divisive now because it’s just a blob of sugar with nuts on it but to someone 150 years ago who ate shoes it was probably like having 12 orgasms at once

This got me thinking….how do we as a society normalize pumpkin pie as a breakfast option at restaurants year round? Who will be the change we want to see in the world?
It turns out Mina and I have identical pie takes (literally had home made pumpkin pie for breakfast this morning before kids woke up).
