I love that the filters exist but their system for automatically detecting nsfw really sucks.

I can't help but think the shitty system wouldn't be as necessary if people just tagged their art appropriately, though. I don't judge the occasional slip, but some clearly just don't give a shit.

I ran into the same problem trying to filter Rock Type Eevee yesterday so I just had to subject everyone to it without warning instead 😂. They really need a more neutral "Surprise!" filter.

I do relate more to Adora in general, and I could make excuses for SOME of her mistakes, but they all involve giving her grace for never being taught how to have relationships. If you're gonna give one of them that grace, you have to give it to the other too, and that's where some people get stuck

I think you can relate deeply to one of them personally and emotionally and still recognize that they both made mistakes, though. Fics that are extremely one sided are often flatter in their characterization in general than fics where the writer has a favorite but still sees the complexity
