✅ On December 1, 1991, over 90% of voters supported the Declaration of Independence Act, marking a decisive step in Ukraine's journey towards independence from the Soviet Union.

With a voter turnout of 84.18%, every region from east to west, including Crimea, chose sovereignty.

It’s early morning here in Kyiv, and as I lie in the dark I hear air defense work. Sounds of of shooting, then sometimes almost cute like ‘puff’ sounds , echoing in the night air. Before war I might’ve been scared by it. Now I feel only love: this is the best sound in the world .

Endless, endless impunity. How tf is a fragile new Syria supposed to work with western partners in good faith when the US actively enables this, and EU states turn a blind eye?

Why even spend a few million building infrastructure when Israel can just blow it up at any time with zero consequences?

I think a lot of nominally progressive people from big powerful countries just cannot really wrap their heads around the value of proper national independence for small countries. Sort of like chocolate sprinkles on a cappuccino, nice but no sense causing a fuss over.

💔A father gently rocking his child's coffin.

In Ternopil, Ukraine says goodbye to Maria and her 2 little children, killed by a Russian missile that struck their building Nov. 19.

The father was the only survivor from the apartment.

This is what Russia does to Ukrainian families. Every single day.

Okay look I fuckin hate the “what are we a bunch of ASIANS” thing but this is not what you see in Third World countries, it’s what you see in Russia

Iranians confronted with that shit woulda jumped the cops immediately and dragged their guy back to their line, Americans and Russians just idly watch
Video evidence from Oregon's Department of Justice.

It's surveillance footage of the ICE facility in Portland from August through October.

Look at Trump's thugs.

This is the kind of footage you see in violent third-world countries, now America.

Why does Russia keep invading its neighbors under tsars, commissars & kleptocrats alike?
The answer isn't Putin.
It's the system itself: a vicious cycle where domestic malaise leads to conquest, conquest breeds denial, denial fuels aggression. On repeat.

Nigel Farage falls through the cracks of media scrutiny. He receives the attention of someone powerful, but the scrutiny of someone powerless. It’s a case study in how fear of democratic decline makes institutions submissive which accelerates democratic decline.
