He feels stronger than Ken to me in every way that matters, but I still think Ken might win on style points.

I might fuck around with him more in the future just because he feels fun, but it takes me a long time to actually get used to a new character’s button ranges, combo routing, pressure sequences, etc. without dropping other stuff I know how to do.

We went 15 minutes overtime and I still feel like I could go on for another 40 years ha ha. I love this character, I love teaching this character, and I'm so grateful when people trust me to help. Plus, achievement unlocked: my first overseas Metafy student.

Being able to break down things like how half-circle instead of quarter-circle forward guarantees a Gladius instead of a Phalanx, or that you can release down when charging down heavy punch to increase the window to buffer the super, makes all my own frustration worth it.

It also brings me no small measure of joy that even though there are still inputs I can't do reliably, I've struggled so hard to learn as many as possible that I know SO MANY shortcuts and secrets to make inputs easier.

Climbed back to 1700 MR before stream's end and regained all the MR I lost on tilt earlier in the stream. I can feel myself making progress. I can feel new neural pathways forming. I just have to keep showing up. That's what really matters: always running that shit back.
