A podcast for the discussion of all things Dragon Ball! Uncovering the culture and hidden history behind Akira Toriyama's seminal franchise.
It’s fake. Hence why I reskeeted our rumor control episode alongside it. A former editor said they should do it and now clickbait garbage places are calling it in development/greenlit because integrity is dead.

Last week, Shavers led Bills WRs in snap count, tgts, recs, yds, & TDs, and the entire NFL in separation yards, and the Bills' passing game looked the best it has all year...

...this week, he played the fewest snaps of any WR, was used almost exclusively to block, and didn't even have a target.

...they're going to do NOTHING because the QB is good and when he's in year 11 and his production falls off a cliff because he's been carrying 52 other guys for a decade, they're going to have NOTHING to show for a generational talent, because they were scared to try to do SOMETHING.
November 21, 2025 at 3:32 PM
...it's not like things were in 2019, when it was obvious that a little help at WR could potentially put the whole team over the top. Aside from the QB, the OL (when healthy, which they weren't last night) and RB, the team is FILLED with issues and the front office turns a blind eye to them...
November 21, 2025 at 3:32 PM
...OL are injured and incapable of blocking, DL is decimated by injuries, defense is undersized and gets mauled in the trenches, secondary reflects the entire coaching philosophy: play to "not lose". It's all coming home to roost because for once, the QB is not having an MVP-caliber season...
November 21, 2025 at 3:32 PM
...the WRs make no effort to do anything extra, break-off routes, hold onto the ball, or throw that additional block. Josh Allen is running for his life and Elijah Moore is jogging out his route without trying to find a seam; let's do NOTHING because the QB is good...
November 21, 2025 at 3:32 PM
...the WR coach can't get personnel groupings onto the field correctly, leading to burned time outs and confusion over playcalls and assignments and a lack of tempo, but let's do NOTHING because the QB is good...
November 21, 2025 at 3:32 PM
...the offensive coordinator sticks to his "game plan" in spite of the flow of the game because in his arrogance that he's come up with the best plays, he sees the QB ad-lib and come up with amazing things. Keep running that WR screen to Shakir and do NOTHING because the QB is good...
November 21, 2025 at 3:32 PM
...the head coach can't SPEAK to the offense other than pale platitudes that any casual non-fan could make. "We should be able to throw it more effectively with Josh Allen as the quarterback." The coach knows NOTHING about an entire side of the football, but do NOTHING because the QB is good....
November 21, 2025 at 3:32 PM
A top-down "Josh Allen will take care of it" approach.
The GM did nothing to address the WR issues in the offseason and told fans to cram it when they complained because the offense scored a lot last year. In a year where Josh Allen won MVP. Might as well do NOTHING because the QB is good...

Also feel free to sound off on Ninja Murasaki, Muscle Tower, the Red Ribbon Army, or anything else below!

Toriyama basically uses Murasaki as an opportunity to make every single ninja joke he can think of: jokes about stealth, lifestyle, honor, deadliness, and power. It's very tropey stuff, and not at all reflective of the reality of ninja in history, but Toriyama never cared for historical acccuracy
November 20, 2025 at 5:16 PM
Murasaki is a ninja with samurai hair, implying a code of honor, but he's underhanded & rather than work for his honor & Japan, he sells out to Westerners. Is this a commentary that Japan is selling its nobility and culture to Western society? It's Toriyama so, UNLIKELY, but it's fun to think about.

Undercutting all of this, of course, is Akira Toriyama's trademark humor. He sets up a stealthy, polite, devious murderer, and then clowns on him for a while. Particularly good (and not VERY well translated) is a joke about tatami mats where Murasaki wishes he had a bigger house.
