I have had no regrets, but it also fits my lifestyle, so I can’t advocate for everyone!

I didn’t really listen to whole albums on streaming, partly because i’d just find a song i like and whack it on a playlist. Twas too easy. Several of these albums I bought because I liked one song on there and figured the whole album couldn’t suck! Turns out these artists know what they’re doing.

I wasn’t going to go vinyl til a friend told me I could get a player with bluetooth, so i mostly listen with my headphones about the house. Also because I listen while cleaning, or doing the dishes or whatever, and the player isn’t so portable…

There’s also something nice about listening to the music in an order the creators intended, instead of random shuffle songs. It also allows some of the album only songs to shine, as bridges between the big hits.

Snow on the Beach by Taylor Swift is a definite new favourite for this reason.

I realised that (along with other streaming issues) I was making about 2 playlists with my favourite 10 songs and never listening to anything else.

I figured I might as well just buy the albums I like and listen on repeat. I don’t need ever piece of music ever, just ones I know I like.

I typed out a mega long response but it comes down to "whine whine whine, pity me, flu sucks"

It just worked as a social game. It was never one I'd pick up to play alone.

You can accuse it of a lot but it's visuals were never boring...

I might be judging a book by its cover, but I am supremely put off by a lot of contemporary AAA visuals. AI is just going to homogenise that. They all look muddy and boring. I mostly play indie because of the individuality.
