Unfortunately physical games don’t make a lot of sense anymore when you need to download updates anyways to play them. Really just a hassle at that point.

Could be worse… my old Huion had a special cable, USB-C on one side, and a splitter to full size HDMI, USB-A, and DC Barrel plug on the other side.

My local castle ruin has something similar to this. Most of its towers are at least partially destroyed since the napoleon period, but in the courtyard you can see how it used to look like.

You should also consider a used Intel Macbook. I think the last ones are now around the price category. And they still support installing windows or Linux via bootcamp. Although no windows 11 since no TPM chip…
Maybe not very performant, but great screen and good keyboard, speakers, solid shell.

I am daily driving linux too, that’s why I know I am right. Just the fact that literally every problem has already been asked by someone shows how difficult things often are. And sometimes it’s little things that you simply need to know.

Average Linux experience. Doesn’t even matter if Arch or debian based, nothing beyond the browser and rythmbox works, and you will spend hours troubleshooting something that should have worked from the getgo.

Then I also see more and more using AI slob as pfp or for their artwork.

I guess there is a realisation that many don’t really care as long as the results look „good“. It’s an improvement in workflow at the end. Art is a business, too, for better or worse.

After just ruining my tape deck I am now getting more excited about what better features I could get on a newer one (relative speaking) than being excited at the new technology that I am supposed to grave.

Using old technology just feels more peaceful lately.
