A whole lot of thought was put into killing him, promise. I like him, too. I would never just kill him willy-nilly. His absence will be felt in this story, haunting the narrative.

Sonic wasn't covered in blood until two days after the scene in which he and Ivan fight. While covered in blood, he was talking about being "with Tails." What happened between him and Ivan was a flashback.

well, for one thing, Sonic doesn’t use chaos spears. He uses his entire body like a buzzsaw.

it’s not about liking it, it’s about believing it happened lol. I would never kill Tails for JUST shock value. His death is extremely important to the story and its theme of Grief.
