Enjoyed some fascinating panel sessions today #ICFC2025. Wide-ranging research based in Africa, Brazil, Kerala, Norway and England introduced me to the varied experiences of children and young people who show such strength in marginalised circumstances.

Just chaired a thought-provoking panel on children and young people with disabilities/SEN. Across countries and contexts, all presenters emphasized the crucial need to enhance efforts that encourage these children to express their views both in practice and research. #ICFC2025

On the opening day of #ICFC2025, Prof. Esther Dermott’s thought-provoking keynote on digital technologies and familial relationships explored the role of states, agencies and private companies in mediating the parent-child and school relationship. Off to an inspiring start!
