Doesn’t sound strange at all. If more people could take time off to help social movements I think they certainly would. This is coming from a US citizen who knows plenty of people that would have joined protests if they could afford days off.

Tbh I’d go back to work at the library part-time (gotta use that degree!) but I’d also make sure my place had some repairs done (with the spare income). I know, boring, but I’d love to do what I want instead of freaking out about my next disability payment.

To clarify, he was gaudy because that was his jam and he was also talented. He wasn’t trying to prove anything. Kind of like Elton John’s love of rhinestones and being sparkly. Trump uses gold to prove himself, and not the other way around.

I appreciate the empathy, I really do. It’s only a couple members, and my mother and father also keep their distance… easier for me than them, since those are their siblings. I want my uncles/aunt to see the light but I don’t want to pick fights, especially after a couple glasses of whiskey.
