I hope you’re right. My fear if you are right is the cruelty and downright evil coming from the White House will only get worse. The midterms in ‘26 will be at even further risk of not happening at all.

If the Tx Senate public hearing transcript would help, and there are comments by Chairman King re his part in this fiasco, I have it and would be more than happy to send it to y’all. The witnesses were 45 to 1 against the map and had very salient and valid comments to make in opposing the new map.

Marc, to supplement my SS, I regularly type transcripts out of the SD Texas but a couple weeks ago we were asked to type the Tx Lege senate hearings on redistricting. I got the
feeling there was someone, some group prepping lawsuits to stop it or at least gummy up the works. Is this it?

FYI, I’m busy typing a transcript of a TX Senate hearing on redistricting from 8/17/25. I’m guessing (probably correctly) that someone, some group or groups are prepping lawsuits to gum up the Bill Abbott signed for the 5 new R seats, making the power grab moot next November. 🤞

Flash floods in Texas are a way of life. NWS out of San Angelo & San Antonio warned us repeatedly via phone alerts that night. Local officials could have sent deputies with lights and sirens to the camps. They didn’t. It’s on them.

Folks, I live 25 miles from this disaster. A flood watch had been issued by the NWS on July 3rd. I checked radar, nothing there but all night emergency alerts went off on my phone. At that point my 5” rain gauge was overflowing. I blame the local faux cowboys, but they were in their dry beds.

Idiots abound. I live 20 miles from this catastrophe. There was a flood watch & warning issued on July 3, but when I went to bed there was nothing on radar. All night emergency alerts went off on my phone & when I got up, my 5” gauge was overflowing. That quick.
