The number of crimes reported in Foxwood during November shows a generally stable situation. Nine were reported in total, of which four were shop thefts.

The farmer has been seeding the Acomb Moor field today. The Public Right of Way path has been ploughed out. It will take a little while to reestablish. In the meantime, the use of a stout pair of boots is recommended. The path on Great Knoll has a 2 metre wide walking strip cut

Just a reminder that there will be no Residents Association meeting this month (August).
The next meeting will take place on Wednesday, 17th September, starting at 7:15pm. Venue, as usual, will be the Foxwood Community Centre

Contractors will be touring our neighbourhood later this month, treating the weeds. They normally only do the highway drainage channels.
So if there is a hard-surfaced path/snicket/traffic island which needs treatment, please report it to the Council www.york.gov.uk/ReportProblems

There was an increase in the number of crime reports during July. Mainly theft (shoplifting) with 6 cases reported at the Coop.
Also, three cycle thefts with electric bikes the main target. The police are urging householders to make sure that their garages and sheds are secure.

City of York Council contractors have cut down the trees on Foxwood Lane that were planted in April. The normal planting season for trees is the autumn, so it is unsurprising that the trees died. Hopefully, they will do the job properly - on Chesneys Field - during the autumn.

With the phacelia dying back now and turning to seed, there is still a lot of bee and butterfly activity on the Acomb Moor Meadow.
Several sunflowers have emerged to add to the variety.
This planting scheme has been a big success at many levels.
