I like shrimp tempura, but Tenya doesn’t let you buy a meal that’s all shrimp—so I basically end up with two pieces of shrimp + lots of mysterious deep-fried veggies I have to pretend to nibble at… 😅
(I also tend to prefer a stronger flavored sauce than theirs, like a spicy mayo, etc.)

In fairness to New Yorkers, I lived in NYC for five years, and most of what I ate there would fall into one or more of the categories on her “ignored” list, so… I don’t know *where* she’s writing about, tbh. The magical land of nothing but steak-and-potatoes-eighteen-ways…???

LOL. Yeah, my dad tells a story where he once answered the phone, and there was a glitch that meant he just heard his own voice echoing back at him… and he thought it was his dad speaking to him. 😅

Interesting!! Most houses in Germany are made of concrete too (Jo always finds the American habit of building flimsy wooden houses Very Dubious…), but it never occurred to me that lack of loggable forests might be part of the reason...

LOOK, I can’t help it if Germany hasn’t figured out how to make a Chardonnay that actually tastes like Chardonnay yet! 🤷♀️ (I guess they’ve had more practice with the Riesling… 😅😘)
