I find it telling our Foreign Minister @senatorwong.bsky.social is prepared to stand on the world stage with a former 'tv personality' who it turns out also happens to be a serial killing psychopath. Apparently without any qualms. I guess being complicit in a GENOCIDE does things to you. #auspol

“Australians lose close to $32 billion a year from gambling” but “Labor's leadership decided it was not worth acting on gambling advertising and upsetting the powerful lobby”.
Pure ALP.
Fear rules on gambling in Albanese government
Andrew Wilkie has asked the PM to allow a free vote on banning gambling advertising and it appears many Labor MPs would support it.

First whispers of discontent for Labor are coming from within
Labor has the space to do what it wants – and what it wants, apparently, is to be the Liberal Party of the 1990s.

According to a new study, members of Congressional leadership perform 47% better in stock market trades than their rank-and-file peers, thanks to access to nonpublic information.

Today would be a great day to ban ALL elected officials from trading stock, don't you think?

Last night’s result in Tennessee should be a wake up call for Republicans. You can’t just embrace Trump and think you’re going to win by wide margins. Today, Republicans in close races are rethinking their election strategies.

MIKE JOHNSON: I'm not going to prejudge any of that. I was pretty busy yesterday. I didn't follow a lot of the news.

Shifting the blame onto Admiral Bradley doesn’t change the facts. It’s a crime to kill the shipwrecked.

And Trump’s “tough on drugs” shtick is a joke. He pardoned the former Honduran president—the same guy his own administration prosecuted and who got 45 years.

As usual, Trump goes to the extremes. The truth is that there were failures on the part of the Biden and Trump administrations when it comes to the DC suspect shooter, but you'd never know that listening to Kristi Noem. They could’ve done their own vetting and didn’t.

Not so much "likened" to a war crime as called out as the war crime it clearly is....and that's if you accept these strikes have anything to do with "war" in the first place as opposed to are simply the US committing murder.

Don't you think the public has a reasonable expectation that the Commissioner of the NACC being paid well above $800,000 would consider this a full time job and not also seek to freelance outside of it?
