People will say things like "i hate how medieval fantasy will slap modern social, economic and sexual norms into the middle ages!" and all I can say is I like medieval things because of the aesthetic, not because of the dysentery. Miss me with that shit!
Yeah I mean the main reason that few fantasy writers actually write feudal rule as it actually existed is precisely this. Which I actually find normal, but grimdark grognards nominally love complaining about.
