When my eldest was a toddler, she loved to jump on the bed & hit me with a flying body slam. But I'd worry, and once warned her to be careful of the edge. She exclaimed, "I LOVE the edge! The middle is boring, the edge is FUN!"

Kiddo was accepted to the college of her choice this week.
i am sick of “more monkeys jumping on the bed” discourse. it’s as though these people have no memory of 2017 when one fell off and bumped his head. doctor spoke out against it, mama endorsed doctor’s findings. i’m limiting replies to followers because i do not have the energy for YMMJOTBers today

In 9th grade, the librarian let me and a friend use the school video camera for a few hours after school, while she went off to work in her office or wherever. The next day, our teacher let her come into class to chew us out, as an example to everyone, for not thanking her when we went home.

I have a memory of hearing the news of Elvis' death on the radio, while riding in the family Impala. No idea why that stuck with me. My parents didn't even own any Elvis records. I don't think they were all shook up about it.
What’s the first major news story your remember as a child?

Mine is OJ Simpson

I especially like the Zappa '73-74 band with George Duke, so the new Apostrophe (') box is fun. Here's "Inca Roads" from Salt Lake City.
