It would probably be worse if they tried to write a way out of it. I think most would accept the fact it's a new actor, it doesn't need to run on.
Absolutely. It's weird really, with there being so much social media and 'general' coverage (plus shows like Doctor Who Confidential) you would think it would be well covered, but it's not at all.
I'd love to read a full expose of the behind the scenes story of the last couple of years. It would be a fascinating read. Maybe some truths and alot of half truths are already out there - time will no doubt knit them together.
Yes! I often wonder if unspecific sources is another way of saying "made up". It's incredible how quickly there is so much "content" out there based on such a short BBC statement.

It's so amazing to see so much love for Emergency Third Rail Power Trip by the Rain Parade.
1 Emergency Third Rail Power Trip - Rain Parade
2 Murmur - REM
3 Heart on a wall - Jimmy Destri
4 Gravity Talks - Green on Red
5 Fire of Love - The Gun Club

There's at least one record in there, I'd be amazed to see get more than this vote!
Native Sons is such a great album. I enjoyed your write up on it.
My favourite LR track of this time is If I were a bramble and you were a rose. Just beautiful.
Superb album. There was a great article in NME round about 84 which went along the lines of that there were four great American bands on the go at the time - The Replacements, Minutemen, Husker Du (I think it was those three) and The Long Ryders. The Zippo record label in those days were a god send.

ETRPT is my favourite album of all time. One of those albums where every now and then you hear something you've not heard before.
For those looking for copies, there's plenty around and there was a very nice deluxe reissue by Label 51 Recordings last year. Its on Bandcamp.
Just reading that Dave Ball, Soft Cell music maestro and much more, has passed away. This is very sad news.

The Doctor Who Appreciation Society (DWAS) will publish the tenth in our series of Annuals on 23rd November. Like previous editions which looked at a specific Doctor’s era, the 2026 Annual will celebrate the Fifth Doctor.
