Labour seem to be utterly incapable of not being cops. Just absolute cop behaviour all the way down.

By this metric, some harmless sod working in a warehouse is less welcome than some button-eyed grasping opportunist 'entrepreneur' who sets up a fake business to sell millions of quid's worth of shonky PPI to the NHS during a pandemic.

People aren't just defined by what they can do for you.

People are always surprised to learn how little creators actually own in comics, games, etc. Big corporate brands are usually built on a work-for-hire model, meaning creators get paid once and then the *company* owns their ideas forever. This is why independent/creator-owned work is so important.
Miles Morales co-creator Sara Pichelli says she does not get any royalties from the ‘Spider-Verse’ films, Insomniac games, or merch

"I don’t get anything … that's the saddest part of my life"

Remember folks: if you have any small amount of artistic talent, any sex appeal, or can make your friends laugh, the richest man on earth is crying screaming throwing up because he can’t be you.

Dudes I think it might be bad to have people who have survived a horrific, crushing system, become the authorities on what Normal people should just put up with in terms of stress.

Why is the fucking AWFUL #BBC sending GPs questionnaires about mh? They sent out 5,000 questionnaires to 40,000 GPs with no targeting at all, received 752 responses, and then write a hit piece with the headline:

Impeccable vibes to look at the news every day and see a piece about how the country's getting worse, often through deliberate government action, next to a piece saying that if you're feeling mentally ill about it, no you're not.

You can work if you apply for a visa but we've made it really hard to apply and get a visa. We are worried about our population so we've made everyone miserable so no one wants to come here. Not a single person in authority wants to fix this because we clearly love moaning too much.

Every major "problem" in the UK seems to be fueled by an obsession with fitting square pegs into round holes. Be qualified but don't provide training. Seek medical attention but don't pay enough doctors. Be your true self but don't Upset The Bigots. Stop polluting but no public transport.

The Express is furious about this because the moment you show those who repeat anti-immigration rhetoric the real human stories their narrative collapses.

The “immigrants” are people. Our friends, colleagues and family.

And it’s this nation of neighbours that is what makes Britain great.

also, Spotify doesn't pay royalties at all for tracks with less than a thousand streams.

and sometimes if an album gets a sudden surge of fan interest, Spotify deems it "unusual listening activity" and just removes the album, as happened to my last EP.
Spotify has laid off thousands in recent years, while reportedly paying artists $0.003 per stream.

Spotify profits rose 28% in Q3. Its CEO is worth $9.8 billion. It's making money off ICE recruitment ads.

Don't you think it's time put a wrap on corporate greed and exploitation?

Always amused (not amused) at how regularly the idea that there is a 'right' amount of mental ill-health in British society and that we must somehow return there. Declaring the correct amount of mental ill-health based on what you are prepared to pay to mitigate its effects isn't how reduction works
