As someone who runs a portrait photography business and a small art gallery, this really hits. I don't have the same supply problems as others, but it is just so obvious that people are being incredibly cautious about their spending.

something which doesn't get enough attention: as anyone who deals with elderly people knows, *any* upgrade - software or forced hardware - is like a nuclear bomb on their existence and is enraging
yah even 'better camera' which was the selling point for higher price/newer models has plateaued. at some point my decision will be 'replace battery or replace phone' but i won't actually need a hardware improvement
