ESRI built a Instant App Template for a Data Explorer map which hooks up an LLM to the layers you upload to the web map and you can chat with it and do analysis on the map with natural language. Beta Q1 2026

1. GeoAI (think object detection in imagery, ML)
2. Assistants (highly constrained tools using LLMs to complete simple tasks)
3. Agents (fully agentic, can call tools and communicate with users and other agents even in other software (A2A))
