One of its more distinctive traits is actually its boogery cap. Can't leave that out.

There are some things you really need to look for specifically to find and I think I would have tunnel visioned my way away from this one's habitat I think. Good to know it will grow in upland poplar habitats, not just on red maples with wet feet.

Sure makes it harder to rule out panspermia ;)
