Neat!

Alright, I think I'm done playing this game for now. I should go brush my little one's teeth and tell my big guy to come brush his teeth as well. Neat way to get a little bit of writing done, though. And I pushed 6,000 buttons to do it!

Florian's head was spinning. He had tried to stand earlier, but he sat back down hard. He was on an airship, piloted by sky pirates, sailing toward the city of Franklin, with the princess of [damned if I remember the name of the main city/country in this story].

"Huh," was all Florian could manage.
November 28, 2025 at 1:23 AM
"My father is at war with Franklin. I'm not at war with them, and neither are the pirates. Well, I'm not sure what the status of the pirates is. I'm pretty sure they smuggle things into and out of Franklin without paying dues on them, so they're probably LIKE being at war with Franklin."
November 28, 2025 at 1:23 AM
"No, it wasn't YOUR plan, but it was MY plan with Mrs. Tinkles. I arranged for this airship to be ready so that the sky pirates could take me away once you got me out of the palace. It worked! We're halfway to the city of Franklin by now."

"Pirates!? And aren't we at war with Franklin?"
November 28, 2025 at 1:23 AM
"One of my guards got to you before Mrs. Tinkles was able to stop him. She really is a wonderful robot. She knocked out the guard, grabbed you, and brought me to this airship to get us out."

"Why did she put us on an airship? That wasn't the plan!"
November 28, 2025 at 1:23 AM
"You really don't remember, do you." The princess looked at Florian discerningly, focusing on a spot on the right side of his head. "I suppose that is a big crack on your head there."

Florian reached up tentatively and found a very sore spot on his head. It hurt a lot. "What is this?"
November 28, 2025 at 1:23 AM
"A better question is where is Marion, my maid who I'm pretty sure is your girlfriend. Or, really, was your girlfriend. I don't think she is anymore after she say you kissing that other woman. Who was she anyways?"

"What? Oh no. Oh no. What other woman was I kissing!?"
November 28, 2025 at 1:23 AM
to my brother because of all the craziness in the city, and because of the way our father was acting ever since my mother fell ill. I needed to get away before something like that happened to me."

"But what happened?" Florian asked. "Where is Mrs. Tinkles? Where is [the prisoner character]?"
November 28, 2025 at 1:23 AM
"Yes," the princess said. "You did all of that. You were taking so long that Mrs. Tinkles got worried that you wouldn't come. She had been manipulating your boss into setting up this mission, on my orders. I didn't want to stay in the palace anymore. I was pretty sure that something had happened
November 28, 2025 at 1:23 AM
Florian looked at the princess and asked what was going on.

"Don't you remember?" she asked.

"No, I really don't. I broke into the castle to rescue you, and I let the Majors break into the prison to let out [the character whose name I don't remember, so I should totally look that up later.]"
November 28, 2025 at 1:23 AM
So Florian woke up and the princess was there and he didn't know where he was so he looked around. There were a bazillion gizmos everywhere, but the thing that told him the most was the fact that the floor was vibrating and he was clearly in an airship.

Yeah, typing is definitely the key to this game. I'm not going to win by using the mouse. I'll win by typing a lot of words and seeing what comes out. Yep. That's totally the key.

Maybe I should use this to my advantage and just start writing the next chapter in a story that I have been stuck on.

play: I'm in my office, which is also the toy room for my youngest. My big guy is up in his bedroom with his computer, which used to belong to his uncle. He complains about how slow it is, but he hasn't saved up his allowance enough to buy a faster one.
November 28, 2025 at 1:23 AM
You put the mouse inside the little house and a little wheel rotates a lego to click the left mouse button about 4 times per second, which is slightly faster than I can type, but he doesn't appear to be using that right now because it would be far more rhythmic. We're not in the same room while we
November 28, 2025 at 1:23 AM
So now I'm just going to keep typing so that I can score more points because I'm pretty sure my big guy is just hitting the buttons on his mouse. He's pretty proud of his mouse that he bought with his own allowance money at BJ's. He's also proud of the mechanical auto-clicker he built out of legos.

Pink and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy are bands I would really like to see in concert.

I really liked Greenday and The Dropkick Murphys in concert. I didn't get to go when my friends went to see Ani DiFranco.

Understanding the shapes of non-Euclidean manifolds is actually HARDER with numbers.

Most of set theory is easier without numbers.

Not letting people do math without numbers until the upper levels, so only people like me who love numbers get to see it? That's just wrong.
November 27, 2025 at 1:36 AM
I have been frustrated for decades that we focus so hard on numbers in math, especially with so many people who struggle with numbers.

Graph theory is all about dots connected by lines or curves. No numbers needed.

Knot theory is wrapping shapes around each other. No numbers needed.
