I’ve seen them called Western scrub jays and California scrub jays. I’ve only been seeing them here in the South Puget Sound in large-ish numbers in the last five years or so. I wonder if their habitat is moving north as the climate warms.

It’s popular at our holiday table but strangely never shows up except at Thanksgiving. But then, we never cook a whole turkey any other time either.

It’s unrecognizable now, with so much development. I was last there a year ago and there’s been so much construction even since then.

Sis and her husband had their margarita pizza and it was fabulous. They have a blazing pizza oven right there. In summer there’s an outdoor seating area.
