A car can crash through the failure of any given component that happens through wear and tear. Nothing built by human hands lasts forever, & it is not a failure of humans or their nature because a gear's teeth break, a link in a chain gives way and snaps, or an exposed wire eventually shorts out.

Updating software shouldn't have to be learning a new interface each time it happens.
