It’s funny how we do that sort of thing. However, I think this year we didn’t have a late frost which we have had the last couple of years which has helped matters. We are dealing with a wonderful glut of fruit. And did the shrub actually flower after its walk?

Was going to try a jam. Got loads of pears too now and the apples aren’t far behind. Been a good year for fruit.

I might try that. Can add some of my other fruit too!

I told it that if it didn’t produce plums this year after 3 years of none at all it was being cut down. I did give it a good prune last year as well. The pear trees must have heard as they are heavily laden too.
I could do plum crumble with some other bits in too? I’ve got a freezer full of fruit

I tried muffins and wasn’t really a fan, but there are a couple of good ideas there I might try. I could do a crumble or cobbler as plums are ready now

It is a type of orchid. I found it on google. Very unusual to see.

Give them a couple of years and prune them right and you will be inundated. I like gooseberries so planted 6 bushes. Didn’t realise they would produce quite this many!!

I’ve got more jam than I know what to do with! I’ve even tried gooseberry muffins now.

If you’re in the Manchester area, happy to share, still got more to harvest and the plums and blackberries are jostling for pole position next!!
