Moose scare me more than anything on these lists. So yeah safe distance for sure!

My black bear was years ago going down i70 headed for Eisenhower tunnel mid October and this big lad was just sitting on a hillside watching cars go by.

I will admit the cougar was the briefest flash in my headlights as I was driving up to silver falls park at night. But I for sure saw it!

Foxes, raccoon, skunk, elk, mule deer, white tail deer, antelope, mountain goats, screech owl, geckos, shark, porcupine, possum, armadillo, toads, tree frogs, puffin, grosbeak, hawk moth, Polyphemus moth, and tons of amphibians, reptiles, birds, and inverts. If it's in western us ive likely seen it.
