Still hoping against hope we can somehow get to 200K by the end of the year.
Given that ever since we put out a statement saying we won't use Generative AI on our channel we've lost a bunch of subs, I guess we ain't hitting 200K by the end of the year lol.

Thread on how to detect ai in that viral dog video
Yeah, I mean, I'm critical of any video nowadays that is trying to elicit an emotional response, especially when it's asking for subs at the end. It's weird that all the people seem to end up with the dog they want. And shelters are overflowing, where are the rooms full of people wanting to adopt?

Ulysses 31 (TV, 1981-1982).

Jean Chalopin: "We were told that if we wanted to sell something in France, we needed a cultural alibi. We wanted to do science fiction because it was up to date. I'm not sure how Ulysses got into the discussions anymore, but one thing was said: in Homer's time..."

There is one striking incoherence in the text: the document is all about America first.

But the very same document lists America’s “network of alliances” & “unmatched softpower” as assets, and speaks about “collective defence”.
If the US does what it describes in the doc, it will lose all that.

The headline, the main takeaway from a European viewpoint is this:

The transatlantic relationship as we know it is over. Yes, we kinda knew this. But this is now official US White House policy. Not a sppech, not a statement. The West as it used to be no longer exists.

Actual archers were not that lethal, as we've discussed in depth repeatedly (e.g. acoup.blog/2025/05/02/c...); all-foot-archer comps are entirely viable in Bannerlord, but you'd have been insane to do that historically (even English armies had lots of men-at-arms).
Collections: Why Archers Didn’t Volley Fire
This week we’re looking at a specific visual motif common in TV and film: the arrow volley. You know the scene: the general readies his archers, he orders them to ‘draw!’ and then…
