Not Gareth Morgan the NZ politician that wanted to kill all domestic cats..... I'm the Corporate Affairs Executive Director, #BJJ Brown Belt, UKBJJA Board member, #Labour activist and civil war veteran version. "One of the rudest egg accounts on Twitter"
I remember when my English teacher gave me a copy of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead. Like turning your mind inside out.

Man, they make it hard to be centre left sometimes.
The "don't have an extra kid if you can't afford it" brigade get awfully upset when you suggest they don't stay in their £2m house if they can't afford it, don't they?

Bluesky isn’t perfect but at least its owner isn’t demanding violent insurrection in the UK from thousands of miles away

I was on the episode where they needed kids lamenting the loss of bird habitat from the Cardiff Bay Barrage.

Of the 8 non-idiots selected to speak to the producers they took 7 of us. The 8th paid the price of wearing a pink shell suit.

I often wonder what happened to her...
I’m seeing a lot of Blueskiers nostalgic for Blue Peter and imma gonna be honest but you all struck me as the Blue Peter types, you are all nailed on Blue Peter kids. I bet you had the badge too, right?

Amazing how little changes.

Not obviously a good opposition tactic to talk down trade deals with all of the US, India and now EU. Because they have been delivered whereas before was mostly bluster, fantasy, and failure. Far from perfect, but don't think most people sweat the detail.

NEW: UK economy grows by a healthy 0.7% in Q1. Hasn’t been much good news for Starmer and Reeves of late but this certainly is. That said, it’s before the NI hikes came in and construction remains flat. Nonetheless will be a small boon to both business and political confidence.

The key point I think is can Ukraine survive if the US turns off intelligence sharing?

The domestic production of drones, EU supplies, re-org of army, renewed recruitment etc... can replace key aspects of the US support.

But Kursk showed what can happen when Ukraine don't have eyes.

Until this moment i had zero sense of the political geography of Canada. Is there a reason it is sto starkly split?
Our first MRP of the 2025 Canadian election projects a 21-seat majority for the Liberals (based on our central projection)

Liberals: 182 seats (+25 notional change vs 2021)
Conservatives: 133 (+7)
NDP: 4 (-20)
Bloc Québécois: 23 (-11)
Greens: 1 (-1)
People's: 0 (=)

Never ever forget that Tucker Carlson woke up when in sleeping in a bed with his wife and four dogs to find scratches on his chest.

And went on to tell people they'd been caused by a Demon attack.

That's the type of culture we are enduring here.

The first casualty of a populist govt is honour and decency. You can always blame something on the "elite".
If these men had any sense of honor, they would already have resigned. The fact that they are all still in their jobs is just as damning as their terrifying and lawless incompetence.

I feel like America is on a delay. The UK had its populist govt in the Boris era.

There won't be resignations or sackings because under populism you see the death of shame and honour.

Any problem can be dismissed as metropolitan elites crying and you just....move on.

I support UK re-armament because I want us to be able to turn our backs on a USA headed by JDVance
and and high on plastic Christian nationalism.

I support net zero because I want us to be able to turn our back on Russia and petro states that are anathema to our values.
March 25, 2025 at 8:35 AM
I've lost count of the populist dick heads claiming that Ed Miliband ordered a diesel generator at Heathrow removed for #netzero reasons.

Matters not a jot that various experts say that didn't happen.

Just post, repeat, repeat. Rely on the mouth breathing supporters to take it all down whole.

Speaks well but with a normal accent, origin story, good looking dude, frames an argument really well, made money so can bat away "envy politics" accusations and importantly doesn't come across as a twat.
Jones, Bastani, Walker and Sarkar to a lesser extent always suffer from coming across middle class kids co-playing as working class and focused on stuff that the traditional Labour base didn't really care about - Identity Politics.

Stevenson manages to sidestep all that.
The rise of @garyseconomics.bsky.social is absolutely fascinating.

Really compelling arguments that are having more and more resonance. Huge engagement on socials, big follower numbers.

Feels like a changing of the guard when it comes to left of centre voices.
