Staggering - the effort and resource *still* being invested in keeping the Brexit shitshow on the road.
No one’s held to account.
No one’s fallen on their sword.
No one’s got the guts to really speak out.
So, on we go, protecting this huge and ruinous lie, because telling the truth is too difficult.
"The 2016 decision to exit the European Union has been nothing short of an economic disaster... It’s a bigger hit than if every bank, brokerage firm and hedge fund in London were suddenly to disappear." ~AA
👏🏽"The President and the Brexiteers share a fear of strangers... Trade, in [Trump's] view, is other countries draining our wallets. Immigration is other people stealing our jobs. International treaties are handcuffs limiting sovereignty." 🎯~AA

If this was not the 2nd Sunday in Advent, today would be the feast of St Ambrose, 4th Century Bishop of Milan. A popular saint in late medieval England, as one of the Four Latin Doctors his image survives on 18 screens and pulpits in Norfolk, as here at East Ruston.

Interesting what Crick notes.

Farage like Mogg and Johnson are really just grown up versions of their teenage selves. Lots of public school boys leave fully formed - and armed with an entitlement and a sense of empowerment that takes them through the rest of their lives.
On why Farage doesn’t apologise for his schoolboy racism:
“if he apologised, he would be turning to his own support base and saying, ‘You’re all guilty too.’ ”
Exactly.
He is racist. So are his voters. He can’t be pissing them off by saying sorry.

Two big health stories today. 1) The price of drugs is going to go up and we don’t have clarity on who is paying for it. 2) Doctors strikes have been announced at a time when we’re facing a mega flu outbreak and a likely Covid spike in new year.  Many questions here.
