I mean, the most recent thing I did with Rue is have their voidsent try to eat them, which led to a power struggle and ended with Rue blending with the voidsent, leaving them part voidsent. Whoops.

Rue had to get help from three different people when their voidsent was trying to eat them. And they really did not enjoy having to ask for help. They let the problem grow until they really could not delay any longer and even then they tried to keep Alhya out of it as long as possible.

Thinking about this reply that @rydermarie.bsky.social posted a while ago (neither of us can find the original) and it's fucking sending me again. They and I have not yet RP'd, but I feel like this is a conversation our OCs would have..

There's never one full constant that always works, but just tossing ideas around with various people until something sticks in my brain is more consistent, when combined with a break. (I got burnt out on FF a month or so ago and did a bunch of Pokemon fixating and now FF is creeping back again..)

Usually taking a break to go do other things for a while. And then eventually I find something will spark me back into it. Either seeing friends talking about their OCs or even talking about theoretical plans with friends about our OCs can spark it. Talking to a bunch of different people, etc.
