Councillor Shelley Carroll says she gets a lot of calls wanting her to fight applications for cannabis store licenses, but, "I can't, in my database, find a single complaint about one once they are open." Perhaps there's a lesson there.

I understand why you think I think that- let me clarify I get that the article isnt advocating degrowth. Also note Im only advocating for nuclear here, not fossil fuels

My question is: why cant we build out work-based RES AND nuclear? Energy demands will inc., why cant we meet it in multiple ways?

I'm not advocating for extending fossil fuels

I'm saying we should expand our energy capacity through any means possible (except for FFs)- nuclear is often derided, but the large amounts of energy it produces can be put toward desal + scrubbing. I only advocate for them using excess energy produced

So yeah, renewables should have less energy lost, but "aiming lower" for energy targets in a world with increasing energy demands yearly is silly.

Especially considering major strategies to fight back against climate change include utilizing cheap, clean energy on CO2 scrubbers and desalination.

Up to 10*, not 11. In the article it says "below 11", meaning not including drivers going 11, who will be ticketed. As they should be.

But your phrasing here implies drivers going 11 ("up to 11...") won't be ticketed.

We often assume seniors rely on driving and can't use active transportation for their daily needs, but often it's the reverse: many people become unable to drive as they age. This #WeekWithoutDriving, I'm thinking of my great aunt and others like her who get around without a car.

"The province says grocery stores must process bottle returns if they want to sell beer and wine."

How can we possibly enforce that when the LCBO doesn't? 💀 I haven't been able to return empties in years cause all the Beer Stores downtown/nearby have closed

Oh nice, that makes two days in a row! Person in crisis was making the same thing happen in the yellow line downtown U on Monday

Angela Bischoff said that QC will act like a battery, exporting their energy to us to support ON's intermittent solar and wind generation.
(paraphrased from the event tonight)

This is deeply, tragically misinformed. Not to mention sowing doubt in renewables- "intermittent"!
