Did you know? Some birds can bend their long beaks

Rhynchokinesis allows birds like Snipe and Black-tailed Godwits to flex the end of their upper beak, allowing them to be efficient in picking out prey from deep mud or sand.

Okay, here we go.

Health & care staff are no longer allowed a Covid booster, but they're still expected to look after COVID+ patients.

NHS/govt is reneging on its duty of care. Staff will become unwell, and patients too will suffer.

You know what to do

Current guidance recommends wader AES areas be ≥30m from woodland

However, these results show the distance should be ≥500m to fully benefit waders

As woodland creation is set to increase in the UK, it is essential future sites are selected with sensitivity

NHS got literally two lines of mention in the #budget and that was mostly to celebrate the loss of 18,000 workers, dismissed as "back office staff".

Many of these people (who do btw include clinical staff) worked through covid, and they provide vital admin support to frontline clinicians.

In today's Budget, the Chancellor spoke about building the economy “brick by brick” but left out the very foundation that underpins it all: nature.

The same Government that promised to restore our natural world appears instead to have wiped it from their agenda.

But it does. Yours, ours, and millions more.

If you believe nature deserves better than this, make sure your MP hears it loud and clear:

Tell the UK Government they must do better for nature!
I've just emailed my MP to tell them what nature means to me and that I want it to stay protected. Will you take action too?

Poll after poll shows people care deeply about wildlife and want it protected.

Instead, we’ve had months of nature-blaming rhetoric and pushes to sidestep environmental law.

This flies in the face not only of what the public wants...but the Government’s own manifesto.

They said it would be a ‘win-win’ for the economy and nature.
