I'm not copying over my friends list from shitter, just going to start fresh here.

My use of bsky is going to be largely tech things. If you want the real me, including angry political things, Mastodon is my true home. babka.social/@idan

1/ 🚀 New from Next: Agentic Workflows, a research demonstrator exploring natural-language programming for GitHub Actions.

It’s one concrete manifestation of what we’re calling “Continuous AI,” focusing on repo-level automation you can describe in plain English.

The Svelte 5 guide has everything from reactivity and how it works, when to use and avoid effects, events, bindings, components and composition, transitions and animations to using third party libraries and making external systems reactive. 🔥

Sensationalist news be like: "Octocat to be executed at dawn by firing squad"

I've lived through integration apocalypses before at Heroku/Salesforce. This is not that. GitHub is still GitHub despite the gods playing musical chairs up there on Mt. Olympus.

This recording of Billie Marten's Crown is warm, reverby, lush. Three guitars, a bass, a muffled drum kit, and all of them are doing different things. I've listened to this on repeat just trying to make out what each instrument is doing and it's sublime.

For the last 10 years I’ve been wanting a chance to design the future—not tomorrow, or the next thing, but 3 things after that. The 5 year horizon.

To explore design fiction, maybe even a bit of science fiction?

Tomorrow, I get to give it a shot with my first day @githubnext.com !

2024 was a year of endings for me. I stopped using tools like Twitter which have been central to my life and career. I stopped consuming sources of news that I've consumed for decades. These things ache sometimes like lost limbs. I think that maybe a lot of us are in this vibe, together but alone

The Verge is shitty journalism no matter how many readers it has. Some stuff is good, but their spicier takes verge on (badumtss) tabloid gossip and thinly veiled editorial agendas. Much like techbros pretend that their opinions are valid in fields they don't understand.
