I honestly agree that the game's art direction is mediocre, which is odd because Game Freak is capable of making good looking 3D games outside of Pokémon in recent years.
Seriously, "Beast of Reincarnation" looks AMAZING.

You should see that banned episode where two cutout animals are chasing each other, but it was so scary to kids that parents complained.
