In the new draft compromise on the 2040 #climate target, the 3% international carbon credits contributing to the target is now under brackets (which emphasizes that this point is still under discussion), as well as the 2036 date

The European Parliament rejected the request by Renew, the Greens and S&D to use an urgent procedure on the 2040 #climate target. Seems that they didn't counvinced the EPP not to vote with PfE, ESN and ECR

The request for an urgent procedure has been withdrawn. The Greens, the socialists (S&D) and Renew who would like to overpass the PfE rapporteurship. They are discussing on how to proceed and try to get EPP on board
