Next project, when parts and mods finally arrive, is to fit a new power board and IPS screen to this beauty, as well as re-capping the main board. Fingers crossed I don’t destroy it! (Not that it’s working at the minute anyway!) gotta love the Game Gear!

In all for it if it means these ghoulish bastards breed themselves into oblivion

Looks like he’s going for the “ooh he’s a character, we need more of them in politics” JRM model of shitbaggery.

Be a bit posh and weird and you’ll be forgiven/ignored for also being a horrendous piece of shit

Either by Tripps becoming that sort of squad/backup option, or another versatile defender coming in who could play either side
geordiechrisf.bsky.social
Pope and Tripps. Pretty sure Schar is already in talks for his annual extension as well

Trippier is getting on, but he’s still fit and adds a wealth of experience to the squad. Can see him getting another year or two.

I like Krafth, but I think he’ll move on and be replaced
geordiechrisf.bsky.social
Can’t do that either for the same reasons, could only play him in the carabao cup games. Absolutely no point.

See, here lies the problem with modern sports journalism - in the rush for clicks, facts go out the window. Even if we did sign Renan Lodi, who the clickbait headline refers to, he couldn’t play for us until January as we have named a ‘full’ squad for the PL and CL! tbrfootball.com/renan-lodi-c...
Renan Lodi can solve Newcastle injury woes - and Fabrizio Romano says he won't cost a penny
This would be a smart signing from the Magpies 👀

Looks positively miserable, Bob.
geordiechrisf.bsky.social
Wait. He was at *Marylebone* and the word he struggles with most was ‘high’?!
geordiechrisf.bsky.social
Be hilarious if they award him one posthumously for doing the one thing that made the world a bit more peaceful.
geordiechrisf.bsky.social
Charlie Bennet probably thinks he wrote this.

Cheers, I’ll bob it on the tv for the last half hour. Hate international breaks lol
geordiechrisf.bsky.social
Where are you watching this?
geordiechrisf.bsky.social
Yeah but I watched the whole thing and didn’t see Gibbs White do much of note. Not saying it didn’t happen, just that if it did it can’t have been too worrying to me whilst watching
geordiechrisf.bsky.social
Newcastle and Sunderland the defensive powerhouses of the premier league. Wouldn’t have thought that possible a decade or so ago!
geordiechrisf.bsky.social
I must’ve missed Gibbs White running circles around him, like. I thought he had a pretty shit game against us and did absolutely nowt beyond fall over when Bruno nicked the ball off him!
geordiechrisf.bsky.social
Problem with Davis is he looked utterly out of his depth last season in the prem. hard to gauge how much that was because it was Ipswich or him personally
geordiechrisf.bsky.social
The thing I didn’t understand is that I wasn’t sure what people thought the alternatives were?

If Hall and Tino are injured, who else is going to play at left full back? It’s not like he gets picked over them there if they’re fit, is it?
geordiechrisf.bsky.social
He set up our first against Forest lol

The problem is when he lumbers forward if we lose possession. Generally speaking we are defensively solid when he plays left back
geordiechrisf.bsky.social
Just kept two clean sheets with him there. I know what you mean, but he’s a good defender. The way people carry on you’d think he got turned inside out for 90 minutes every game.
geordiechrisf.bsky.social
Snap. We met on twitter too. Wouldn’t have her, twin boys or a stupid dog if it wasn’t for that site. Gutted it became what it did.
geordiechrisf.bsky.social
It’s the same with Burn. People losing their crap cos he’s playing left back, or just playing full stop, when he’s been part of the best defence in the league so far this season. We’ve only conceded in two games!
geordiechrisf.bsky.social
I’ve not really noticed, but he has often seemed to be the sort of player who runs to the crowd to gee them up when we score a goal, rather than run to his celebrate with the scorer?
geordiechrisf.bsky.social
No onononono!

We do agree with Nick, it *would* kill the AI industry and the sooner the better
geordiechrisf.bsky.social
Oh I’m not defending their policies, on the whole they set us down a slippery slope. My wife works in academia, I’m well aware of the issues facing the sector right now and what the root causes of it all are - but creating a flawed system isn’t the same as demonising it, which is Badenoch’s play.
