Hitler could have been stopped at Munich. It was allied appeasement, not Czech/Polish resistance, that led to WW2. Trump's ignorance of history and cowardice when dealing with a real strongman are what will lead to WW3, not Zelensky's courageous resistance.

In denying Ukraine's request for US assurances for any deal (which according to some reports Zelensky had already agreed to), Trump is merely signalling to Putin that he can go on and take the rest of Ukraine at a later date and that America won't do anything to stop him.
