The threat of an avian flu pandemic is growing as it mutates towards the ability for airborne human-to-human transmission.

Instances of bird flu in mammals. CDC warnings to keep pets leashed when outside as it has spread to domestic cats when they have eaten birds as prey. It has been detected in backyard chicken flocks as well as commercial poultry farms and in milk and beef, presumably from cows and cattle consuming grass contaminated with droppings from wild birds. There is no evidence of human-to-human direct transmission yet, but I think it can't be far behind if this is transmitted through feces. Too many farmworkers, meat packers, people with background poultry flocks, hunters, toddlers in playgrounds with goose poop and feral cat poop,...All of whom could track fecal matter into homes, a mode of inter-species crossover transmission.

A preview of American foreign policy in the next four years. Trump is doubling down on dissing Canada. Right up there with the bizarre Macron handshake.

Note that he is using juvenile humiliation on allies (soon to be former allies?) who are currently facing political crises. Putin's orders?
Note this is from yesterday, after Canadian ministers said Trump was only kidding last week when he talked about Canada becoming the 51st State!
