Playing a double CD containing the first five albums of Cher between 1965-1968 for the Imperial/Liberty label in the US. I have some real surprises in my music collection.

Stuck a CD on the player...its reasonably rare. You hear only a rare track on specialist radio stations.

A nice change to hear Paul McCartney's Wonderful Christmas Time given a different sound. 2/

No signs of the intended work being carried out. This one looks even worse from the other side. I thought that I had taken an image. 5/

Examples another by John Pizzarelli. A sixty song collection of Robert Goulet. And an 80 song collection of Vikki Carr. That last one arrived today and cheered me up. 2/

Finally at a reasonable price. I own a wonderful piece of daftness. It is clever. Approx 60 + years old. These people were pitch perfect as a singer and arranger and musician. Really Jo Stafford and Paul Weston. Originally done for fun for their friends at private dinner parties.

Don't ask how many festive CD's I have 🤣 but this one with 24 older tracks from the 40's and 50's takes some beating. They all have great production. Arrangements.

It has finally happened. A flag has appeared a street from where I live.

Playing all kinds of music and sneaking more Christmas into the mix. Much unheard in the shops or on radio stations.

Next randomly chosen 💿 featuring The Crickets. That worked with Buddy Holly.

Yay! Playing a couple of non Christmas CD's until I go to the local shops.
Firstly...Peggy Lee. Then Julio Iglesias.
October 29, 2025 at 9:54 AM
Playing a Christmas 💿 🤣 Johnny Mathis.

Another reference to Christmas music. Do look at Dean Martin's song list for his 1959 album. What I often say. Technically it has Xmas songs but others that are associated with Romance and The Season. But it is rarely heard.

Another Xmas CD sneaked into my playlist 🤣 the other day Elvis and Connie Francis. Then Lady Antebellum's first and new festive offering. Today Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. Avoiding the news. Breakfast news is all about the presenters out for a reaction from the audience.

This morning I slipped a Christmas CD into the mix featuring albums by Elvis(1957)and Connie Francis(1959)Randomly grabbed 💿 this time. From 1998 Reba McEntire - If You See Him.

So...Prescription picked up. A bit chilly and windy weatherwise. Two water sample bottles obtained at the pharmacy in Tesco. Fancy sandwiches from Aldi. Home. Resting. Playing the new Christmas CD from Lady A. Their second festive offering. A night of music radio. As I have quite a nest egg 1/

Playing this at present...

An afternoon of completing putting my CD library into a tidy and safe location. No excuses. Today it will be done.
Another aquired CD being played for the first time...with a nod to Christmas. Annie Lennox - A Christmas Cornucopia.
Released in 2010. Then it suddenly hit me...that's 15 years ago.

Released in 2020. There is a new Christmas album out now by Lady A. I have misplaced it but am determined to find it as I tidy my CD collection. Anyhow he is the original. It has vibes of the two albums The Carpenters released decades ago. 2/

From country to this now...I may take a look outdoors after 10am.

I quite like this...it works for any country. Social media. Politics and the media in general. 1/
