I have just heard a Dunnock in song. A sound I usually associate with the end of winter! Think he has got a bit ahead of himself 🪶

It’s not everywhere you can eat delicious food in the warm and watch whooper swans and teal, shoveller, wigeon, lapwing and more while munching.

4 meadow pipits, 12 fieldfare, a dunnock, a song thrush, 4 mute swans and 14 grey partridge (in two coveys) not bad for a beautiful morning walk. Spending the rest of the day at RSPB Frampton Marsh so will see how that adds to the list!!
The main question though is cheese toasty or carrot cake….

Beautiful crisp morning though autumn colours seem to be disappearing quickly.
Lovely to see big flocks of chaffinches and linnets with some fieldfare scattered in for good measure.

Gorgeous sunrise this morning. Put an extra coat on over my PJs and had my cuppa with the girls.

Strong recommend for a visit to RSPB Frampton Marsh. This time
of year there are great clouds of waders in the sky, if you stay until twilight you may witness hundreds of Whooper Swans coming into roost. It’s amazing and beautiful (and the cheese toasties are good and the carrot cake is epic)
