Why does absolutely NO ONE consider the possibility that the MAGA Regime was about to deport him back into the hands of the Taliban and he took an action that life in a US prison was better than a certain death in Afghanistan?

Has anybody determined the motive of the National Guardsmen shooter?
I'm guessing the shooter didn't want to be deported back to Afghanistan and figured being in a United States prison would be much better
