In order to remain compliant with the law, districts had no choice but to remove access to Youtube, Google Earth, Google Maps, Google Translate and the Chrome Web Store for students. It's been a huge burden for teachers and students who have to redesign lessons.

In NY we have a student privacy law called Edlaw2d. NYSED informed NY school districts that certain Google services, categorized as "Additional Services," are not covered under the existing Data Privacy Agreement (DPA) and must be blocked for students. Google refused to alter the DPA.

Kami gives teachers the ability to turn on/off the annotation tools for students at a granular level, meaning you can turn off everything except one or 2 tools. Simplifies things for students!

You are correct. I found in the Settings, a toggle for autoplay videos and gifs.

Technically, it looks like a video. Has a play button, scrubber and a volume slider. But, I didn't need to click play. It started as I scrolled my feed.
